About Me
I'm a classically trained French Horn player with a strong background in both performance and music theory. I have earned a Graduate Certificate in Music Theory Pedagogy, Master of Music in Performance, and a Bachelor of Music in Performance from Arizona State University, along with an Associate of Arts from Glendale Community College. I am grateful for my Horn professors that I have had along the way, Dr. Alex Manners at Glendale Community College, and Dr. John Ericson at Arizona State University.
While I'm just beginning my professional journey as a private instructor and educator, my academic work and performance experience have given me the tools and training to help students reach their full potential . I enjoy helping students make sense of the building blocks of music in a way that's practical, clear, and relevant to their own musical goals.
I'm also experienced in using MuseScore as a teaching tool, especially for introducing students to music notation and digital score creation. My goal is to create a supportive, engaging learning environment where students can develop both confidence and curiosity in their understanding of music.
Outside of music, I enjoy travelling, gaming, and lounging around with my dog and 3 cats.
